The paper I have made at home combines junk mail, fruit cartons, and sketchbook pages. I fashioned a mould and deckle out of two old silkscreen frames and recycled window screen.

I taught myself to marble paper by watching YouTube videos and reading books checked out of the library where I work.

I created the assembled figures of animals in these collages using marbled paper and anatomy textbook images. The halftone screen backgrounds were created by repeatedly enlarging images on the photocopier at work.

Because I usually work with found images or personal photos and text, I find drawing difficult. In spring and summer 2024, I am forcing myself to fill up a sketchbook with drawings. The only rule is to keep going.
